Dental Implants Restore Natural Function and Beauty

Teeth are essential in your speech, eating, facial appearance, and quality of life. Even if you have a single missing tooth, you know firsthand that this can cause eating challenges and impact your self-confidence. If you have many missing teeth, this has likely impacted your ability to eat a balanced and nutritious diet and caused a massive hit to your self-esteem. Affordable dental implants in St. Petersburg, FL, and Rogers, AR, offer unsurpassed versatility, delivering a perfect solution for a single smile gap, multiple missing teeth, or even a completely edentulous (toothless) mouth.

Dental implants are made up of three parts that work together to replicate the function of natural teeth. The surgically implanted titanium post integrates with your underlying bone. A small metal piece called an abutment connects the post to the replacement restoration, either as a separate piece or built into the post. After the fusion process is complete, the implant assumes the missing tooth root(s) role, providing stable and strong support for a crown, bridge, or full-mouth prosthesis. With extensive expertise, digital workflows, and robotic technology, the PRECiDENT Center for Facial & Dental Medicine team is dedicated to helping you experience improved oral health and a better quality of life with affordable dental implants!

Versatile Implant Options to Resolve Many Tooth Loss Issues

Single Implants

A single dental implant involves the surgical placement of a titanium post in your jawbone. After it fuses with your underlying bone, the implant acts as an artificial tooth root. The post provides a stable foundation for a zirconia dental crown that restores your natural smile function and beauty. Single implants help maintain healthy bone density and are longer lasting and easier to maintain than traditional dental bridges.

Dental Bridges

Implant-supported dental bridges offer greater stability than traditional dental bridges. In addition to eliminating the need to modify healthy supporting teeth, this option better resolves structural concerns by stimulating your underlying jawbone.

While it costs more, an implant-retained bridge helps prevent bone loss and gum recession, offers greater comfort and functionality, and typically has a much longer lifespan than a traditional bridge. This solution is generally reserved for two or three missing teeth in a row.

denture 3d

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures provide a permanent replacement option for missing upper teeth, lower teeth, or both arches. This solution involves surgically placing four to six implants in your jawbone per arch to create a strong and secure foundation for dentures.

While removable overdentures restore some function, a fixed denture provides the most stable option. A fixed appliance allows you to eat a wider range of foods without worrying about slippage while restoring your ability to speak, laugh, and smile confidently and comfortably!

Full Mouth Dental Implants

When you get full-mouth dental implants in St. Petersburg, FL, Rogers, AR, you’ll rest comfortably under your choice of sedation. At the same time, our team places four to six implants per arch into your jawbone. Before leaving our practice, we’ll fit you with temporary teeth you’ll wear while your implant sites heal.

After full-mouth dental implants have completely fused, it’s time to get your permanent prosthesis. We work closely with a restorative dentist who fabricates it from zirconia using our exacting specifications. Full-arch dental implants restore the smile of your dreams without the hassle of traditional dentures!

sub perio 3d

Subperiosteal Solutions

Subperiosteal dental implants are an option for insufficient bone dentistry throughout your jaw. A subperiosteal implant consists of a metal frame customized to fit your jaw.

The frame is anchored with small posts that protrude through your gumline to support the prosthetic teeth. This type of implant surgery is more complex and time-consuming, requiring a higher level of surgical expertise.

Procedure & Same-Day Teeth

Depending on your unique case, it may be possible to perform tooth extraction and bone grafting during the same visit as dental implant surgery. With full-mouth dental implants, streamlined implant protocols may enable you to be fitted with temporary teeth on the same day as surgery.

We offer several types of sedation dentistry to deliver a comfortable and stress-free dental implant experience. After surgery, you’ll receive detailed postsurgical home-care instructions to help you get on the road to complication-free recovery.

Follow-up Appointments

The first few months following implant surgery are crucial because poor oral hygiene can lead to a soft tissue infection and an aggressive inflammatory condition called peri-implantitis. To reduce the risk of infection, we may prescribe an oral antibiotic or give you an antibacterial rinse.

We will also provide you with dietary guidelines that you need to follow to prevent failure, which means avoiding hard foods for a period of time. Periodic follow-up visits are essential for monitoring your implant sites and checking to make sure healing is progressing as it should.

Healing & Final Restorations

As your implant sites heal, the tooth implants fuse with your jawbone in osseointegration. Dental implants take three to six months to fully integrate with your underlying bone. After healing and fusion, we work closely with a restorative dentist skilled in fabricating beautiful crowns, bridges, or full-mouth prostheses from dental-grade zirconia.

Dental implants restore your ability to eat most foods, while zirconia restorations are incredibly durable and chip-resistant. They’re designed to last a lifetime with proper maintenance, which includes brushing, flossing, and professional routine dental care.
